The Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) has denied reports that authorities will raid the houses of former President Rodrigo Duterte and his children.

“Wala pong katotohanan na mayroong gagawing raid sa bahay ni FPRRD or sa kanyang mga anak,” PRO-11 Spokesperson, Major Catherine Dela Rey, said.

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) also clarified that police personnel deployed to provide security at the house of the country’s former leader were not pulled out.

“Walay gipull-out, walay gi-recall nga PNP personnel nga atoang gideploy sa atong former president. Naa lang sila sa area, naa sa kanto. As per info nato gikan sa atong operations, naa lang sila sa area. Wala sila duol sa mga tao kay ato nalang pud irespeto ang mga tao nga naa dinha,” DCPO Spokesperson, Captain Hazel Caballero, said.

Supporters of the Duterte family gathered outside the house of the former President and stood guard after reports came out that authorities will conduct a raid evening on Thursday, March 13.

Aside from supporters, lawyers of the family and some barangay chairpersons were also present.

“Musulod sila walay tao diha, wala sila Digong tao lang, i-search. Kinsa ilang i-serve og search warrant? Kay magtanum napud sila diha, magtanum napud silag bala?” a neighbor of the former President said.

Some supporters said they will not leave the house so there will be witnesses should authorities launch a raid.

“24/7 gyud mag-duty ang mga tao diri sa balay ni Digong Duterte para dili ta masudlan nga lain ang mga lakang,” Deputy Mayor Randy Usman of the Maranao tribe said.

Supporters offered prayers for the safety of the former President. They will reportedly do this every night.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte also arrived after receiving the same information.

“Salamat kaayo, sobra sobra na ang inyong ginapakita. Ug gusto nako nga makapahuway mo ug muuli mo. Kung unsa man ni, dawaton namo ni. Kaya man namo muatubang kay kahibaw man mi, ako, bisag kani karon, wala koy sala nila,” the mayor said as he spoke to their supporters.

In a statement, the city’s chief executive said he has received "verified" information that search warrants have been issued targeting his house and the houses of his siblings and his father.

He said the alleged issuance of search warrants was a “blatant act of intrusion” into their private spaces.

“The PNP PRO-11 has denied this, but after their inconsistent statements regarding PRRD’s situation, the public has every right to question the truth. What is their next move? This only adds to the growing concerns about harassment and intimidation,” the statement said.

The mayor added that all the things that happened to their family were motivated by politics.

However, he said they will follow the law should authorities serve a search warrant.

"Musulod sila, gusto sila mutan-aw, ana ana. Naa koy respeto sa trabaho sa pulis, ang problema dira, wala koy salig sa liderato nato karon. Importante gyud karon nga nakahibalo ta sa atong mga katungod,” the mayor added.
