Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte on Friday, March 14, 2025, said he has received "verified" information that search warrants have been issued targeting his house and the houses of his siblings and his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a statement, Baste said the alleged issuance of search warrants was a “blatant act of intrusion” into their private spaces.

He also raised concerns over the motive of the alleged issuance of search warrants.

“The PNP PRO-11 has denied this, but after their inconsistent statements regarding PRRD’s situation, the public has every right to question the truth. What is their next move? This only adds to the growing concerns about harassment and intimidation,” the statement said.

The mayor likened the recent happenings and the current situation to martial law, which was why he urged every Filipino to stay vigilant and well-informed.

“This is not just about fPRRD—it is about love for our country and standing up for every Filipino who struggles against poverty, injustice, and weak leadership,” the statement added.

Baste also expressed his gratitude to all who supported and stood by his family.

Supporters across the country held various activities, including peace and prayer rallies, motorcade, noise barrage, among others.

Some supporters also gathered outside the house of the former President evening on Thursday, March 13, to offer prayers and guard against the alleged raids.

“I thank you, and I draw strength from your unwavering stand. Now more than ever, I will not be silenced. This is not just about the attack against my family—it is about every Filipino who values justice and fairness. This is not just a question of legal procedures—it is a grave matter of upholding the integrity of our institutions and safeguarding our nation’s sovereignty,” Baste said.

The former President is now at The Hague in the Netherlands to face the International Criminal Court (ICC) for the alleged crimes against humanity charges in connection with the killings during his administration’s war against illegal drugs.

Baste’s siblings, Vice President Sara Duterte and Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte, also made a trip to the Netherlands.
