Authorities seized over P3.5 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Urdaneta City.

The suspect, identified only as alias “Odi,” is a 57-year-old resident of the city.

Aside from illegal drugs, authorities also recovered a firearm, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia from him.

In a separate operation, police also arrested two other suspects, identified as alias “Kabang,” 50, and alias “Bok,” 44, both from Urdaneta City.

Authorities confiscated shabu worth nearly P30,000 from the two men, who were reportedly repeat offenders.

“Sila po ay mga dati nang nahuli sa ganitong kaso… sila ay may mga previous na malaking hinaharap na kasong ganito, at sila ay nakapag-undergo ng plea bargaining noon sa kanilang mga naunang kaso. At sila ay bumalik sa kanilang gawain,” PCpt. Jesus D. Tambalo, Deputy Chief of Urdaneta City Police Station, said.

Meanwhile, in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, another buy-bust operation led to the arrest of three suspects, including a senior citizen.

Authorities recovered 20 grams of shabu, and the suspects were taken to the PDEA Regional Office 3 Jail Facility in Pampanga.

All arrested individuals are now facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
