A wildfire broke out on a mountain in Barangay Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales.
In a report on GMA's "Unang Balita," the San Antonio Fire Station said the fire started at noon on March 10, 2025, and spread quickly due to strong winds.
Firefighters faced difficulty reaching the area as the soft ground made it hard to climb. However, they remained on standby in case the fire spread to residential areas.
Residents observed the flames weakening gradually before midnight.
By early Tuesday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection declared the wildfire under control and officially fire out.
