An employee of the Lapu-Lapu City Hall who reportedly started trouble in an entertainment bar was dismissed from the government service, while an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital was dismissed as well for alleged inappropriate behavior in attending to a pregnant patient in February.

An employee at the Lapu-Lapu City Administrator’s Office was caught on video, posted on the social media page “Opon,” who approached two policemen while insisting seemingly a personal point.

The distance of the videographer from the subject and the ambient noise render the man’s point raised to the policemen inaudible, but based on the video caption it reads that the man introduced himself as an employee of the City Hall under the City Administrator’s Office.

He also mentioned reportedly to the police not to mess up with him as he is vital in the processing of payroll for city policemen.

Atty. Danilo Almendras, Lapu-Lapu City administrator, confirmed that the man in the video works as an administrative aide in his office since 2019 toward the yearend.

He immediately sought a review of the incident that took place on March 5, 2025.

The drunk man, according to witnesses, assailed a female worker in the said bar who refused reportedly to entertain him.

The woman said in her post that the drunk man held her face with a twisted squeeze. However, the news team was not able to seek the side of the woman.

The man is a casual employee, Almendras said, whose termination took effect on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Meanwhile, Almendras disclosed that the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital fired as well the obstetrician-gynecologist on February 21, 2025 after an 18-year-old pregnant patient complained against the doctor’s demeanor in dealing with her.

The patient said she was repeatedly maligned by the doctor.

It was further learned that the doctor is one of special job order personnel in the said hospital.
