Authorities are preparing for the Tugtugan, Kalutan, Tan Sayawan ed Dalan, the highlight of the Pindang Festival 2025, by closing major roads and deploying additional security.
Starting 8 a.m. on Friday, March 7, Rizal Avenue will be closed to traffic to allow time for stage setup.
The Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) has advised motorists to take alternate routes:
- Vehicles from San Fabian to Dagupan City should take Magno Street and exit through P. De Guzman Street.
- Vehicles from Dagupan City to San Fabian may turn right at Ydia Street and exit via Presto Street or turn left at Duyala Road leading to San Jose Street.
“Bibigyan natin ng time na makapagtayo ng mga stages para hindi sila gabihin or hindi sila magahol sa oras,” POSO-Mangaldan Chief Gerry Ydia said.
A total of 13 stages will be set up along Rizal Avenue, with over 20,000 attendees expected.
“Sa tantiya namin, talagang dudumugin ‘yan kasi ngayon pa lang sold out na lahat ng mga grills,” Ydia said.
To ensure safety, over 100 police officers and force multipliers will be deployed throughout the festival.
“Naka-prepare na ang PNP, nakahingi tayo ng augmentation of personnel sa ating Provincial Headquarters na dagdagan ang mga personnel na magbabantay dito sa kalutan,” PLTCOL. Roldan Cabatan, Chief of Mangaldan Police Station, said.
Authorities are urging festival-goers to follow traffic advisories and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a smooth and safe celebration.
