A 22-year-old woman died while 10 others were injured after the minivan they were riding plunged into a cliff in Upper Dayawan, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Initial investigation disclosed that the minivan was traveling downhill when the brakes allegedly malfunctioned upon reaching a curved portion of the road.
The minivan then hit the concrete barriers and fell into the cliff.
One of the passengers died while 10 others, including the driver, sustained injuries.
The injured individuals were brought to the hospital for treatment while the passenger who died was brought to a funeral home in Tagoloan town.
