A magnitude 5.0 earthquake jolted Davao del Sur around 9:42 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
PHIVOLCS said the epicenter was located 06.69°N, 125.18°E - 005 km S 63° W of Matanao town.
The tremor had a depth of 015 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
Aftershocks are expected.
