A portion of the bridge that connects the town of Cabagan to Santa Maria in Isabela province collapsed evening on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

In a report on GMA News Online, the Isabela Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said a part of the bridge gave way after a dump truck passed over it, according to a "Saksi" report.

Six persons, including a child, were brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the dump truck is missing.

In a social media post, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Cagayan Valley advised motorists to take caution.

The DPWH regional office personnel are on their way to assess the bridge and lay out steps aimed at keeping the public safe.
