A fire hit a foam warehouse in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon and caused damage estimated at more than P42 million.

Authorities said the area housed large amounts of insulation foam, but they managed to control the fire so it would not spread to other warehouses.

“Sa pagtinabangay wala na mikatag, mibalhin sa pikas bodega (ang kalayo) kay kini man gud bodega gadikit-dikit kani, wala na mikatag, so napugngan na namo,” Manolo Fortich Fire Station Investigator, FO3 Julius Cloma, said.

The fire was raised to second alarm before it was put out.

An employee of the company who works at the warehouse sustained burns and is undergoing treatment at a hospital, as of this writing.

“Gikan siya sa sulod, gikan sa katong nasunog nga building so napaso kini siya, nalapnos ang dagway, kamot, apil ang tiil,” Cloma added.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is investigating the cause of the fire.
