A 35-year-old woman was found dead inside a room of a lodging house in Mariveles, Bataan just hours after checking in with an unidentified man.

According to the Mariveles Police Station, the woman checked in at around 2 a.m. with a male companion.

At 10 a.m., a room attendant found her lifeless body, covered in blood.

Some employees reported hearing an argument from the victim’s room before she was found dead.

Authorities said the victim had bruises on her face and was found with a pillow covering her head.

“Bugbog ‘yung mukha niya tapos may nakatakip na unan sa mukha. Ongoing pa din ang crime doctor doon sa kanyang result. Hinihintay pa namin,” PLTCOL. Dennis Orbista, Chief of Mariveles Police Station, said.

The victim’s family is calling for the suspect to surrender and face justice.

“Sa lalaking gumawa nito sa mama ko, huwag ka nang magtago, huwag mo na kaming pahirapan. Sumuko ka na. Hindi ka man lang naawa sa aming magkakapatid, lalaki kaming walang nanay,” the victim’s child said.

Police are still investigating the suspect’s identity and possible motive.
