Two women in Iligan City were arrested in an entrapment operation for alleged sexual exploitation of minors online.
The suspects were identified as a 45-year-old and a 38-year-old residents of Barangay Bagong Silang.
Authorities also rescued two girls, both 13 years old, and a 16-year-old boy. They are all students.
Authorities said the victims were made to perform explicit activities online in exchange for money.
Seized during the operation were gadgets such as cellphones, a laptop computer, and computer accessories allegedly used in the illegal activity.
Authorities also recovered sex toys, receipts from money remittance services, and other documents bearing the names and contact numbers of foreigners allegedly involved.
The suspects are facing charges for alleged violation of Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act (RA 11930).
The victims rescued were brought to the City Social Welfare and Development Office for intervention.
