A 27-year-old nanny was accused of molesting her three-year-old ward in Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City.

The nanny was arrested by personnel of Police Station 10 of the Cebu City Police Office dawn on February 16, 2025.

The father of the three-year-old girl accused the nanny of molestation based on an incident disclosed by the child.

The father said that the child narrated about the nanny who inserted allegedly a finger in the toddler’s privates.

The child’s statement has become the basis for the filing of a case for statutory rape against the suspect.

The suspect had served as a nanny to the girl for about a month already prior to the child’s disclosure.

However, the suspect denied vehemently the accusation.

According to her, she cares for the child and that it is normal she would touch the child’s privates when the girl takes a bath, or when she would clean up the child after defecation.
