A Philippine eagle named ‘Riley’ has been hatched in Davao City, the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) announced on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
PEF said Riley was born on January 16, 2025. She is the offspring of eagles Sinag and Dakila,
According to PEF, Riley’s hatching was the first documented unassisted natural hatching.
PEF added that Riley is growing stronger every day and she is set to be transferred to a bigger nest on Wednesday, February 19.
“Riley’s arrival is a symbol of hope and a reminder of the importance of unity in protecting our natural heritage. Together, we are making a lasting impact,” PEF said.
