Farmers in Mankayan, Benguet were left dismayed after frost covered their vegetable crops.
It damaged produce that was set for harvest in February.
Among the crops affected were broccoli and potatoes, which showed signs of discoloration due to the cold weather.
The frost also impacted market supply, affecting sales in local markets.
Earlier on Sunday, January 26, thick frost blanketed crops in Barangay Paoay, Atok and Mount Pulag.
Larry Esperanza said.
PAGASA earlier said temperatures could drop to single digits in the coming days.
