A 46-year-old man who was running for councilor in Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte was shot dead in Midsayap, Cotabato.
The victim was identified as Jerry Ledda Dofredk, resident of Barangay Labio, Northern Kabuntalan.
Police said the victim was on board his motorcycle when he was shot by the suspect.
He did not reach the hospital alive.
Recovered from the crime scene were six empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing, as of this writing.
