A salon owner in Barangay Dadiangas West, General Santos City was killed when a man entered the salon and fired shots.
As shown in a video footage, the gunman was wearing a green sweatshirt and blue pants and had his face covered. He went in and out of the shop three times.
The gunman also fired at the CCTV cameras.
The gunman escaped with a companion who was waiting outside the salon on a motorcycle.
Police said the salon owner was hit in the chest and feet. The victim did not reach the hospital alive.
Investigators have identified the suspect.
“Based sa atong pag-imbestiga, we were able to identify the suspects and we are still conducting hot pursuit operation for possible arrest,” Police Station 1 Commander, Captain Cyrus Vince Arro, said.
Authorities are eyeing personal grudge as motive in the shooting.
“Based sa among pag-imbestiga, it is a personal grudge… actually, yung suspek natin is yun yung nakaaway niya kasi magkasosyo sa negosyo. Ito yung pinagmulan ng kanilang alitan,” Arro said.
“Yung security sa GenSan, very tight naman… nagkataon lang na yung itong ating biktima, meron siyang nakaaway na kasosyo sa negosyo kaya nangyari itong insidente. So sa mga resident natin sa GenSan, we assure na safe and secure pa rin yung ating city,” Arro added.
GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is reaching out to the family of the victim for a statement, as of this writing.
