A man who hacked his father during an argument in Barangay Lumiad, Paquibato District, Davao City was also hacked by his brother.
Police said the man, Romeo, had accused his father, his brother Eddie, and another companion of stealing coconut in the area.
The father, Eddie, and their companion were drinking at their farm at that time.
When the father reportedly reprimanded Romeo, the latter allegedly hacked him using a scythe. The father sustained injuries in the shoulder and was brought to the hospital.
Eddie then grabbed the scythe from Romeo and hacked his brother several times, which resulted in Romeo’s death.
Eddie escaped and is being pursued by authorities.
