Authorities have identified the alleged gunman in the shooting of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Tagum City one year ago.
The suspect was identified after matching the caliber .45 gun recovered from him when he was arrested during the service of a warrant.
According to the Tagum City Police Station, the firearm seized from the suspect matched with the gun used in 10 shooting incidents in Davao and Caraga regions.
One of these cases was the killing of an OFW on January 10, 2024 at the Freedom Park in Tagum City.
The suspect is facing murder charges for the killing of the OFW.
Police also said the suspect was tagged as number six most wanted person in Caraga for a murder case in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.
