At least 26 houses were razed by a fire that broke out in Barangay Crossing Bayabas, Toril District, Davao City on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Around 40 families were affected.
A two-year-old girl and her brother-in-law suffered from burns.
Authorities said the brother-in-law was injured after trying to rescue the girl. Both sustained third-degree burns.
The fire reportedly started at their house and spread to houses nearby.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) continues to investigate the incident, as of this writing.
