A 31-year-old woman wanted for alleged illegal recruitment was arrested in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental.

The suspect identified as alias “Mae” was arrested by virtue of a warrant for illegal recruitment issued by the court on June 25, 2024.

Police said the suspect was allegedly involved in fraudulent job recruitment activities where she received money from the victims in exchange for job slot reservations abroad.

Authorities also said the suspect was arrested previously in February 2024 for the same offense, but she was released on bail.

The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) lauded the operatives for the arrest of the suspect.

“This arrest reflects our unwavering commitment to the rule of law and the protection of our citizens from individuals who exploit and victimize others through illegal recruitment schemes. Let this serve as a warning to all perpetrators of such crimes that the long arm of the law will find you,” PRO-10 Director, Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, said.
