A deadly collision in Barangay Salvacion, Santo Tomas, Pangasinan claimed the lives of a couple when the tricycle they were riding was struck by a speeding motorcycle and later hit by an oncoming van.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage shows the motorcycle rear-ending the tricycle, pushing it to the opposite lane where a mini-van collided with it.

Miguel and Razel Serrona, both 34 years old, sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

The motorcycle driver and van passengers suffered minor injuries.

The families of those involved have decided not to pursue charges, according to PSMS Manny Villanueva of the Santo Tomas Police.

“Actually, yung driver ng motorsiklo tsaka yung minivan, nakauwi na po sila. 'Yung kani-kanilang pamilya nag-usap noong Linggo, at yung pamilya ng biktima ayaw na po mag-file ng case,” he said.

Families of the couple have brought their remains home to Alcala, Pangasinan.
