Liquor and street parties are banned during the Sinulog festivity.
Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia issued Executive Order (EO) Number 29 regulating business establishments during the celebration of the Sinulog Festival.
The EO includes the ban or prohibition of entertainment such as concerts, shows, and performance gigs or activities that require the mounting of huge speakers at the route of the solemn procession on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on the day of the Sinulog Festival on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 12 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The EO stipulates that establishments operating on these days must secure a special permit and that their toilet facility must be open to the public; closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras must be operational, and that establishments must be responsible for the cleanup in their location.
Street parties are banned all over Cebu City.
Parties are allowed only inside private properties.
Liquor ban is ordered within 300-meter radius of the Sinulog procession and Sinulog Grand Showdown on January 18, 2025 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and January 19, 2025 from 12 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Further, beverages in glass bottles, regardless of alcoholic or non-alcoholic content, are also banned on these days.
