The pilgrim image of Señor Santo Niño de Cebu begins officially its visit to hospitals and penitentiary centers on January 3, 2025.

Personnel of the City of Talisay Traffic Operations and Development Authority (CT-TODA) fetched the pilgrim image from the Basilica del Santo Niño for a motorcade to the Cebu South Medical Center in Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City, Cebu and the Talisay City Jail.

The image will visit jail facilities in the Cities of Mandaue and Cebu, as well as government hospitals on Saturday, January 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has announced its acceptance of registration until Monday, January 6, 2024, for participants to the fluvial procession on January 18, 2025.

Participants to the seaborne procession will be divided into two groups, PCG said.

The first group will be for sea vessels with 35.1 to 300 gross tonnage, while the second group will be for vessels with 3.1 to 35 gross tonnage where motorbancas belong.

PCG urges interested participants to visit their office for the list of requirements.

The official opening of the 460th Feast in honor of the Señor Santo Niño (Holy Child Jesus) is set on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

A Penitential Walk with Jesus at 4 a.m. will mark the opening salvo of the religious activities.

The walk will start at Fuente Osmeña to the Pilgrim Center of the Basilica via Osmeña Boulevard.

The event will also mark the start of the Novena Mass.

After the 7 p.m. Novena Mass, an offering of the traditional Sinulog dance will be performed.
