A businessman from Mangaldan, Pangasinan is seeking justice after two SUVs he rented out were pawned and are now untraceable, leaving him without a source of income.

Edwin Dizon, a resident of Barangay Salay, trusted a woman from La Union who began renting his vehicles in 2023.

Initially, the renter was a good payer, prompting him to allow more transactions, including a second rental involving two other individuals in October 2024.

In December 2024, payments stopped.

When Dizon demanded the return of his vehicles, he discovered they had been pawned in San Fernando City, La Union.

The renters had destroyed the SUVs’ GPS trackers, making them untraceable, and are no longer responding to his calls.

The Mangaldan Police, led by PCAPT Vicente Abrazaldo Jr., assured action.

Madaling ma-identify na ‘yun,” Abrazaldo said.

Authorities have also alerted the Highway Patrol Group.

They reminded vehicle owners to verify renters’ identification thoroughly and ensure transactions are documented with a notarized contract.
