Ash emissions from the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island were recorded between 7:41 a.m. to 7:51 a.m. and snapshots captured from 6:05 a.m. to 7:44 a.m. on January 1, 2025.
These events generated grayish plumes that rose 100 to 200 meters above the crater before drifting west as recorded by the IP Camera in Kanlaon Volcano Observatory in Canlaon City, Province of Negros Oriental.
A total of seven (7) discrete ash emission events have been observed on the first day of 2025.
Alert Level 3 prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.
