A group of anglers in Cagayan de Oro City offered flowers at sea as they sought justice for the killing of one of its members in Pagadian City.

The victim, Michael Obsiana, a resident of Cagayan de Oro, was seen last evening on December 20, 2024 reportedly transacting with two men together with his partner in Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

While they were returning to Pagadian City, the victim and the two men reportedly figured in an altercation. The victim’s partner reportedly jumped out of the car because of fear.

Two days after the incident, the victim was found dead inside his car in Pagadian City with wounds in the head.

Police are looking into business as possible motive in the killing and eyeing the two men as persons of interest.

“File-an nato og kaso. Naa man ta’y witness kay nabuhi man si Ma’am, atong witness… atong himuong suspek ang iyang giingon,” Dumalinao Municipal Police Station Investigator, Corporal Gliv Silva, said.

The victim’s fellow anglers offered flowers at the fishing spots in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental as they continue to call for justice.

“Akong panawagan sa atong mga authorities nga makuha nato ang hustisya kay Michael Obsiana and ma paspsan ang investigation kay sakit pud kaayo sa amoa iyang pagkawala usa siya ka maayo nga tao,” CDO Anglers President, Kyn Lubguban, said.
