The two men whose skeletal remains were dug out at a vacant lot in Alabel, Sarangani on Christmas Day may have been victims of summary execution, according to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Sarangani.
Pinagpatong po yung dalawang biktima,” CIDG-Sarangani Chief, Major Jun Fortunato, said.
CIDG-Sarangani said the two victims were allegedly killed after they failed to remit the proceeds of illegal drugs sale to their group.
Their bodies were reportedly buried in September 2024.
Authorities are already investigating the group whose some members have arrest warrants for robbery and murder.
One of the two victims was identified by the family through the clothes and dentures, but the same would still be subject for confirmation.
Authorities urged those who have a missing family member to coordinate with the CIDG or Alabel Police Station to help in identifying the other victim.
