Two drivers have tested positive for illegal drug use during a drug test on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
In an interview with GMA Super Radyo Davao, Land Transportation Office-Davao (LTO-11) Regional Law Enforcement Section Head, Yuri Lim, said a bus driver at the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) and a van driver at the van terminal in Bajada tested positive.
However, the results will undergo a confirmatory test.
Up to 50 bus and van drivers underwent a random drug test to ensure safe trips during the holiday season.
The drug test was facilitated by the LTO-11, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Davao (LTFRB-11), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Davao (PDEA-11) through the program Oplan Biyaheng Ayos.
