Employees in the private sector and domestic workers in CARAGA are set to receive a P50 increase in their daily wage in 2025.

This after the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) has affirmed the wage orders issued by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-CARAGA (RTWPB-13).

The wage orders will be implemented in two tranches and will take effect on January 2, 2025.

Upon effectivity, the daily minimum wage across all sectors will now be P415 from P385.

From P415, it will then increase to P435 upon implementation of the second tranche on May 1, 2025.

NWPC said up to 65,681 minimum wage earners will benefit directly from the wage order.

Meanwhile, domestic workers will also get a P1,000 increase, bringing their monthly minimum wage to 6,000 from P5,000.

“In affirming the wage order, the NWPC found that RTWPB XIII complied with the criteria for determining a wage increase under Republic Act No. 6727 or the Wage Rationalization Act, which include the needs of workers and their families, capacity of employers/industry to pay, and the requirements of economic and social development in the region,” NWPC said.
