At least four barangays in Panabo City, Davao del Norte were flooded following heavy rains brought about by the trough of the low pressure area (LPA).
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the barangays affected are Barangay New Pandan, Gredu, Santo Niño, and San Vicente.
The floodwaters reportedly reached waist-deep.
Some families were rescued and are now staying temporarily at the evacuation center.
Classes and work in the city are still suspended on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Meanwhile, a bridge made of bamboo gave in as students were crossing on their way to school in Caraga, Davao Oriental.
The bridge collapsed due to the strong current at the river caused by Tropical Depression Querubin.
The students are all safe, as of this writing.
In Boston town, some coconut trees were toppled down in Barangay Cabasagan due to strong water current.
The local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) immediately conducted clearing operation.
PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1 in Davao Oriental before Querubin weakened to an LPA at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
