The Pangasinan police are now on full alert to secure residents and visitors during the holiday season. No cop is allowed to go on leave.
"Yung mga kapulisan natin ay inatasan natin na doblehin ‘yung pagka-conduct ng checkpoint natin," PCOL. Rollyfer Capoquian, Director of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, said.
This is part of the ‘Oplan Ligtas Paskuhan,’ a strategy aimed at maintaining peace and safety throughout the Yuletide season.
The police have identified border control points for 24/7 checkpoint operations, focusing on monitoring travelers in the province.
In Mangaldan, Pangasinan, the police held a staff conference to discuss and finalize operational plans for enhancing security in the town.
"To ensure na ‘yung kapulisan ay nasa places of convergence... sa mga simbahan, palengke, plaza," PLTCOL. Roldan Cabatan, Chief of Mangaldan Police Station, said.
Police Staff Sergeant Crisanto Lemon, stationed near the public market, manages the police assistance desk and ensures smooth traffic flow to avoid congestion for motorists.
The PNP will focus on crimes against property, robbery-hold-ups, and break-ins.
"Maging alerto tayo. Makakaasa kayo na ang ating kapulisan ay ipaparamdam ‘yung presensiya sa komunidad, para ‘yung mga would-be criminals o mapagsamantala ay mapipigilan natin na kayo ay mabiktima," Capoquian said.
