A fisherman was shot dead in Barangay Poblacion, Maco, Davao de Oro on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office spokesperson, Captain Jusibelle Abellon, said the victim received death threats prior to the incident.
According to the victim’s fellow fisherman, they have just returned from fishing when the suspect approached the victim and asked how much he was selling the fish.
A few minutes later, the suspect pulled out his gun and shot the victim four times in the head.
Police have identified a person of interest.
Investigators are looking into personal grudge as possible motive.
