A 41-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) has been missing for 10 days after returning to the Philippines from Saudi Arabia.

Michael Lomibao, who worked as a florist in Saudi Arabia for nearly a year, was sent home by his agency due to hypertension.

He arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on December 2, 2024 as confirmed by a photo his family took that day in the airport.

Since then, his relatives have been unable to contact him.

“Paglabas ng NAIA, di na namin alam saan napunta. Tinatawagan namin, di namin makontak,” Elem Bautista, Lomiba’s sister, said.

Lomiba, a native of Barangay Bari, Mangaldan, Pangasinan, has not been seen or heard from since his arrival.

The family already reported the matter to the police.

“We will do follow-up investigation dun sa whereabouts niya. Hindi natin alam, OFW yan. Baka may planned activities yan pagdating dito sa Pilipinas,” PLtCol. Roldan Cabatan, Chief of Mangaldan Police Station, said.

Lomibas’s family is anxious because of his health condition.

“Kinakabahan kami, natatakot. Siyempre, iniisip namin kung anong nangyari, kung nasaan na?” Bautista said.

The family has reached out to relatives and friends but has yet to find leads, as of this writing.

They are pleading for Lomibao to reach out to ease their fears.

“Magparamdam ka. Tumawag ka kahit sino sa mga ate mo. Para alam namin kung nasaan ka. Aburido lahat kami sa iyo,” Bautista said.
