A newborn girl was found at a grassy area in Barangay San Miguel, Tagum City.
The baby was found with its umbilical cord still attached.
A resident rescued the baby and covered her with a cloth.
The baby is reportedly in safe condition, as of this writing, and is now under the care of the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Police are investigating the incident to identify the parents of the child.
