A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a private vehicle in Initao, Misamis Oriental.
Police said the victim, Rusty Bryan Samson, SK chairman of Barangay Kilangit in Gitagum town, was heading to school in Iligan City when the accident happened.
Investigators said the motorcycle crashed into the private vehicle that made a u-turn going to Cagayan de Oro.
Samson sustained severe injuries in the head and did not reach the hospital alive.
The driver of the private vehicle may face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
