After nearly 10 hours of trekking through rugged terrain, operatives located a marijuana plantation in the mountainous area of Barangay Licungan, Sugpon, Ilocos Sur.
The marijuana cultivators fled even before the operatives arrived after they were reportedly tipped off about the operation.
Authorities discovered fully grown marijuana plants ready for harvest, along with dried marijuana, seedlings, and fertilizers.
The operatives uprooted the marijuana plants and burned them on-site.
The total value of the marijuana seized is estimated to be over P2 million.
