Authorities have arrested Marawi City Vice Mayor Annouar Romuros Abedin Abdulrauf morning on Monday, December 2, 2024.
The vice mayor was arrested by virtue of a warrant for murder issued by a court in Caloocan City.
Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) together with the Task Force Marawi, Marawi City Police Station, and the military served the warrant against the vice mayor at the City Hall compound.
The official is set to be turned over to the court that issued the warrant.
Authorities have yet to disclose the details of the case, as of this writing. The vice mayor also have yet to issue a statement.
