As Vice President Sara Duterte distributed over 2,000 gift packs to beneficiaries during the 89th founding anniversary of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Lingayen, Pangasinan, she reminded the public to be critical when choosing leaders for the 2025 midterms elections.

The beneficiaries were identified through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil acknowledged the significance of the assistance.

"We will be receiving assistance from those affected by the typhoon. May mga dumaan kasing bagyo dito sa amin, sunod-sunod," he said.

In her message, Duterte focused on her campaigns for security, education, and the fight against corruption.

The Vice President emphasized the power of each vote, encouraging Filipinos to think deeply about their choices.

"Kailangan natin pag-isipan kung sino ang iboboto natin sa susunod na eleksyon. Hindi ko sinasabi kung sino ang iboboto ninyo, dapat ngayon gamitin natin ang ating power sa pagboto dahil para ito sa mga anak natin," she said.

After the thanksgiving celebration, Duterte visited Lingayen Municipal Hall employees and toured the Casa Real and the Pangasinan Provincial Museum.

Duterte is facing several controversies, including investigations into her alleged threat against President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and the utilization of the confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President.
