Two minor riders were injured in an accident on the coastal road in Cagayan de Oro City.

Police said one of the riders was reportedly running at high speed until he lost control of the vehicle and fell. His motorcycle hit another motorcycle.

“Ako man gud nastorya kaning maong driver sa big bike nga lagi medyo kusog-kusog ang iyang dagan. Nikalit og wobble ang iyang motor, nawalaan siya’g kontrol ba sa iyang motor mao to pagkawala sa kontrol sa iyang motor natumba daan ang iyang motor ayha napadulong sa laing motor,” Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Traffic Investigator, Patrolman Christian Villalobos, said.

“Pag-abot nako sa area, mao lagi gitanggal na man to, wala pud ko kaingon nga nakapangutana sa iya pero siguro kay ulo man iyang (injury), wala siguro siya ga-helmet pero nag-helmet man galing siya, nalagpot siguro ang iyang helmet,” Villalobos added.

The two riders were brought to the hospital. The rider who hit another motorcycle is still at the hospital, as of this writing, while the other rider has already been discharged.

The rider who hit another motorcycle may face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injury.

“Kana man gud dalana pud, daghan man gud diha og kurbada gud dili ka ingon nga makasutoy ka og dagan. Usa pa, daghan pa og tao diha nga gatambay may unta’g (wala lang) pero daw bi og makadamay pa ta og lain,” Villalobos said.
