The suspect in the hit-and-run incident that killed a biker and injured the biker's wife is now considered a “Wanted Person.”
No bail has been recommended against the sports car driver identified as Bobot Dela Rosa, according to Atty. Hector Teodosio, legal counsel of the victims, in an interview with GMA Super Radyo Iloilo.
Dela Rosa was identified as the sports car driver that ran over and killed one Rave Garcia and injured Garcia's wife, Shefryl, in Barangay Pandac, Pavia town, Iloilo Province on June 1, 2024. The incident was caught on CCTV camera.
Garcia and Shefryl were on board a bicycle on their way home from work when the sports car hit them and ran over Garcia.
Atty. Teodosio disclosed that the court has already issued a warrant of arrest against Dela Rosa and that the information has been relayed to all police stations in the province for coordination.
He thanked and lauded the members of Pavia Municipal Police Station for presenting strong pieces of evidence against the suspect.
It was also learned that the suspect denied the allegation vehemently, saying that the car was borrowed and that he is not the person who drove the car when the incident happened.
Teodosio said he hopes that the suspect gets convicted to underscore that eventually the long arm of the law is bound to catch offenders.
