An elderly woman from Vintar, Ilocos Norte found herself once again at the center of attention following another incident with a motorist.
The woman, 74-year-old Renie Leaño, was captured on closed circuit television (CCTV) throwing a piece of wood at a car that passed by her house.
The car stopped, and the driver got out of the vehicle and struck the woman’s house with a metal rod.
Sounds of glass shattering could be heard in the CCTV footage.
Leaño reported the incident to the police, claiming the car was speeding and almost hit the dogs outside her home.
The driver, on the other hand, filed a complaint with the barangay.
It is unclear if the two parties have reached a compromise, as of this writing.
EARLIER INCIDENT
Leaño went viral online in March 2024 when CCTV footage showed her throwing rocks at motorists passing by her house.
With the intervention of authorities, Leaño apologized publicly, citing mental and emotional stress, and promised to stop throwing the rocks.
"I’m already tired, I’m psychologically, morally, mentally stressed na... kaya humihingi naman ako ng dispensa," Leaño said.
She warned, however, that she would retaliate if provoked by "rude" drivers, even claiming she might throw an angle bar, instead.
"Hindi na ako nambabato pero kapag ginalit ako, lalo na ng mga bastos, itong angle bar ang ibabato ko sa inyo," Leaño said.
She also accused vloggers of profiting from her situation without permission.
