A man was arrested for hacking to death his own son in Barangay Cogon, City of Naga, south Cebu Province.
The 45-year-old suspect is a resident of Barangay Cogon, and a construction worker.
The incident happened at 5:30 p.m. on November 23, 2024.
His 24-year-old son, the victim, was pronounced dead on arrival at a private hospital in the said city. The victim sustained a fatal wound on his neck.
The father and his son had an altercation reportedly prior to the incident, according to the City of Naga Police.
Charges for parricide are up against the suspect.
