The number of cities and municipalities under a state of calamity rose to 32 on Friday, November 22, 2024 as regions across Luzon reeled from the combined effects of tropical cyclones #NikaPH, #OfelPH, and #PepitoPH.

These include the following:

ILOCOS REGION

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), over 3.9 million Filipinos were affected across seven regions.

Over 1.5 million people were evacuated ahead of the storms, with 67,971 families taking shelter in evacuation centers.

The disasters resulted in 12 deaths (5 validated), 16 injuries (11 validated), and three missing persons.

In total, 52,987 houses were reported damaged, with 9,197 destroyed.

Infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and power lines, has been impacted significantly, with damages to public facilities estimated at P2.7 billion.

The estimated damage to agriculture reached P52.5 million while damage to livestock, poultry, fisheries reached P1.9 million, affecting 2,358 farmers and fisherfolk.

Up to 90 roads and 40 bridges remain impassable, as of this writing.

Still, 37 areas remain flooded, 36 of which is from Central Luzon, the NDRRMC said in its 8 a.m. situational report.

Power interruptions persist in 43 cities and municipalities, 6 with interrupted water supply, while communication lines remain down in 24 areas.

Emergency relief operations continue, with over P277 million in assistance provided to 111,518 families — with 504,152 families yet to receive assistance.
