Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation- Central Mindanao Regional Office (NBI-CEMRO) arrested a man for allegedly abusing two minors sexually in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

The suspect identified as alias “Burador” was arrested by virtue of a warrant.

NBI said the parents of the 10-year-old and 15-year-old victims filed a complaint.

The suspect allegedly molested the victims since September 2024.

The suspect is facing charges for statutory rape; two counts of sexual assault; three counts of acts of lasciviousness; and four counts of lascivious conduct

NBI said the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (RA 7610) provides heavy penalties for crimes against children, including rape and sexual abuse.

“Director Santiago said that the NBI remains steadfast in its commitment to help victims in obtaining justice, especially with respect to crimes committed against minor children and urged the public to support the legal process. The victims and their families are receiving the necessary support from government agencies and protection as the hearing of the case continues,” NBI said.
