Students conducting a clean-up drive at a river in Barangay Tambac, Dagupan City found the lifeless body of an unidentified man floating in the water.

Authorities said the victim may be around 20 to 25 years old.

Police said there were no visible wounds or injuries on his body. Asphyxia due to drowning is believed to be the cause of death.

PCpt. Shayne Daciego, Public Information Officer of the Dagupan City Police Station, noted the recent storm may have something to do with the incident.

Efforts to identify the man continue, as of this writing.

Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
