Super Typhoon #PepitoPH continues to move west northwestward over the coastal waters of Camarines Sur, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 2:00 a.m. of November 17, 2024, the center of "Pepito" was located over the coastal waters of Caramoan, Camarines Sur at coordinates 14.2°N, 123.9°E.

The storm is moving at a speed of 10 km/h in a west northwestward direction.

The storm currently has maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h near its center, with gustiness reaching up to 280 km/h.

Storm Track and Intensity Outlook

Typhoon Pepito made landfall in the vicinity of Panganiban, Catanduanes, at 9:40 PM.

It will continue moving west-northwest, passing over Polillo Islands, then making landfall over northern Quezon or central Aurora by noon to afternoon today.

Pepito will cross the upland areas of Sierra Madre, Caraballo, and Cordillera Central in the afternoon and evening.

Pepito is expected to weaken slightly as it moves over Luzon, but it will likely remain a typhoon during its passage over the island. It will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow morning or afternoon.
