The Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of southeastern Luzon has developed into Tropical Depression (TD) "Nika."

According to state weather bureau PAGASA's 11 a.m. advisory on Saturday, November 9, 2024, the center of TD Nika was estimated based on all available data at 1,145 km east of Southeastern Luzon (14.5°N, 132.3°E).

Intensity:

Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and central pressure of 1004 hPa

Present Movement:

Westward at 30 km/h

Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds:

Strong winds extend outwards up to 250 km from the center
