A spike was noted in the prices of some vegetables and spices at the Bankerohan Public Market in Davao City.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the price of garlic went up to P160 per kilo from P130 per kilo, as of this writing.
Some vendors said this is due to the high price from the supplier.
The prices of bell pepper also increased to P130 per kilo from P80 per kilko and tomatoes to P70 per kilo from P40 per kilo the previous week.
The price of cabbage also went up to P70 to P100 per kilo from P35 per kilo.
Okra is now sold at P55 per kilo; eggplant at P60 per kilo; ampalaya at P50 per kilo; and pechay at 60 per kilo.
Some vendors said the supply of vegetables delivered to the market has dropped due to the bad weather.
