The United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) also filed its manifestation.

This party is connected with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and led by Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim.

Just before the cut-off on Thursday, the Progresibong Bangsamoro Party also filed its manifestation of intent.

Other aspirants for members of the parliament in Maguindanao del Norte and Cotabato City also filed their certificate of candidacy (COC).

Meanwhile, the Commission on Elections-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (COMELEC-BARMM) said an aspirant wanted to withdraw his candidacy.

The communication was made verbally and the poll body did not disclose the reason why the aspirant wants to withdraw.

“Yes kanina lang may nag manifest na mag-wiwithdraw ng COC and siyempre nasabihan natin na ang withdrawal may mga formalilities. They have to execute affidavit of withdrawal and submit the same to our office. Hindi pwede na verbal lang,” Maguindanao del Norte COMELEC Provincial Election Supervisor, Atty. Mohammad Mutia, said.

COMELEC-BARMM reminds those who will run in the first Bangsamoro parliamentary elections that there will be no extension for the COC filing after the deadline on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
